Recommended foods: Whole grains

  • Reliable studies such as "The China Study" or the Executive Summary of the World Health Organization associate  the reduction in the consumption of whole grains and the increase in the consumption of meat, dairy and refined products to most of the degenerative and chronic diseases that affect our societies nowadays.
  • Whole grains provide us with stable energy  which will keep us going through the day without the up and downs that simple carbohydrates cause in our body and emotions
  • They are made up by a wide variety of nutrients and combine well with other foods of animal origin.
  • Being our main source of energy, these complex carbohydrates make up 30- 50% of the daily food intake in a macrobiotic diet.
